There’s something so heart-melting about a newborn who sleeps through their entire session—and baby Ollie absolutely understood the assignment.

From the moment I stepped into his nursery, I knew this session was going to be a special one. The walls were lined with cozy details and sweet nods to a certain British bear in a red hat. His parents, longtime lovers of all things UK, designed a Paddington-inspired space that was full of quiet storybook charm.

And as for Baby Ollie? He snoozed through everything. Wrapped, unwrapped, posed, snuggled—he was a little dreamboat from start to finish.

The secret sauce?

Timing and a full belly. At just 7 days old, he was still in that sweet, sleepy window most newborn photographers hope for—and mom and dad made sure he had a nice, cozy feed before we got started. While this doesn’t always guarantee a sleepy session (babies love to keep us on our toes), this time, it was the perfect concoction: a warm room, a full tummy, and just enough new baby magic to keep him totally content.

These are the kind of sessions I love—calm, connected, and full of those fleeting newborn details you never want to forget. Tiny baby back rolls. Soft lashes resting on puffy cheeks. That new baby stillness that disappears all too quickly.
