I know that getting all dressed up for newborn photos can feel insignificant when you're up half the night feeding or still in the trenches of postpartum recovery. But my mission is to meet you where you are, helping you cherish these fleeting moments so you can look back on them long after the stress has faded.

I. Session Prep
After you book, you'll receive the exclusive MZP Session Prep Guide to walk you through all of my tips and tricks for a perfect session! You'll also receive a questionnaire so I can get to know you and serve you in the best way possible!
II. custom styling
As a mom myself, I understand how stressful it can be to coordinate outfits for everyone. That’s why each portrait session includes a complimentary client closet dress for mom with a custom style board for the rest of the family!
III. session day
This is the BEST part!!
On session day, we’ll embrace the sweet chaos of those early newborn days, capturing authentic memories. Don’t worry about posing—I’ll guide you naturally to encourage genuine connection and emotion.
IV. gallery delivery
Within 7 days, you’ll receive a proofing gallery to select your images. Your edited images will be ready in 2 weeks, and from there, you can choose print products - best part? I’ll handle the designing for an effortless process!
As your photographer, I want to serve you with photos that will bring you back to this season - to remember their first little expressions and what it looked like being mom and dad.

Newborn Sessions begin at $695.
Newborn sessions are typically booked during the second trimester and scheduled once your baby arrives. The ideal time for those peaceful, sleepy newborn photos is within 7-10 days postpartum.
I'm here to make this process as easy as possible (even if that feels a little impossible with everything on your plate!) - from preparing for photos, choosing what to wear, coordinating hair and makeup appointments, posing, and even designing your baby album!

All newborn sessions booked gain access to The Client Closet, where you can choose from multiple dresses of different colors and styles all specifically curated to flatter and accentuate your body through every season of motherhood.
Once you've chosen your dress, I'll create a custom family style board to help ease the stress of coordinating the rest of the family!

I offer prints, albums, frames, and more so that you can enjoy seeing your images day after day. Your images are an investment and deserve to be printed in the highest quality so they don't just collect digital dust on your phone's camera roll!
Albums are my favorite print product!
The best part? I take care of designing and ordering. your album so that it is one less thing on your to-do list!
I recommend BOOKING early in your second trimester.
I recommend SCHEDULING your maternity session for 28-32 weeks so that your belly is poppin', but the risk of you having your baby before your session is low and the dreaded swelling is minimal!
The best time to SCHEDULE your newborn session is just after you've had your baby for 7-10 days postpartum.
When I book newborns, I add your due date to my calendar and consider roughly when your session will be when creating my schedule to give you priority scheduling.
WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY SESSION?
I know that figuring out everyone's outfits can be so daunting, so I have taken the guess work out of it for you!
I'll create a custom style board for your family based on your preferences even including links for you to shop!
All newborn sessions also include free access to my client closet for mama, so you won't even have to shop for a dress! I'll also bring plenty of swaddles for baby!
WHAT DO I WEAR?
YES! I whole-heartedly believe that we should not only have photos OF our kids but also WITH our kids!
Immediate family (and even the dog or grandma and grandpa) are included in all newborn sessions. You'll receive photos of the full family, siblings, parents, and individual newborn.
DO NEWBORN SESSIONS INCLUDE THE FAMily?
BOTH! There are so many factors to consider when choosing an in-home versus a studio session - the most important being lighting.
If your home does not have ample natural light, a studio session may be for. you. My studio is located in Kinston, NC. Your photos will be taken on a timeless white backdrop.
In-home sessions typically take place in the nursery or a bedroom and are perfect to capture your family just as you are in a place that is special to you!
do you offer studio or in-home sessions?
I primarily serve Kinston, NC and the surrounding areas. However, I do offer travel sessions from Raleigh to the coast! This pricing is for locations within 50 miles of Kinston. A travel fee of $1 per mile will be added for sessions between 50-100+ miles from Kinston, NC.
do you travel?
I got you, mama! I have a mini-session type of husband and two WILD toddler boys!
It's all about organized chaos! If you're looking for photos where everyone is perfectly smiling at the camera in every single one, another photographer may better suit your style.
However, if you're looking for fun photos that you can FEEL...then you're in the right place! We'll absolutely get good smiling photos too, but we will also run, play, and laugh to make for an enjoyable time together!
